This series of garment
sketches takes form of the
wearer itself, a hybridized
form between identities of
the self and the societal eye.

The housewife, often reduced to vanity, is now proven resilient. Inspired by the soft layering of Dior’s ‘Junon’ gown and hardened by the structure of a butcher’s apron, the fusion dress is reworked in layered raw-edge cowhide and cinched like a warrior with with a peplum belt constructed of leather reused belts.

The hunter mini dress, drawn from the silhouette of Midwestern erotic is constructed of patched and painted tulle coins, mimicking a draft of maple leaves. A crown of deer antlers hug from the back, honors the art of sport. Both pieces, light and hard embody both female empowerment and the male gaze.

Finally, a cape of sanctified lined and embelleished with leather floggers, shiny black vinyl, and hanging chains exposes unspoken eroticism hidden beneath practiced sanctity.
